Bob Wabasse

 

Bob Wabasse is an Anishinabe from the Webequie First Nation, located near Winisk Lake- (known as a Ring of Fire)approximately 570 kilometers north of Thunder Bay, Ontario. Mr. Wabasse is fluent in his native language and English, allowing him to effectively engage with a diverse range of businesses and entrepreneurs.

With a charismatic approach, he emphasizes the importance of incentives that promote personal growth, innovation, and responsibility—key factors that ultimately influence accountability and sustainability. 

Mr. Wabasse is a firm believer in self-determination, fostering workforce development and collaboration to create lasting success for the community’s business ventures to expand.

He has been a strong advocate for reclaiming Indigenous knowledge and wisdom, seeking meaningful ways to navigate the ever-changing landscape of business opportunities. His work with various projects for the Webequie First Nation focuses on promoting self-autonomy, including collecting data and implementing Community Well-being initiatives to address the challenges faced by the community.

In addition, Mr. Wabasse has been actively networking, collaborating, and mentoring with other organizations, serving as a liaison to build partnerships. His education encompasses both contemporary and traditional knowledge about personal growth and trauma, equipping him to address these critical issues effectively.
